Refund Policy
Last updated · August 25, 2026
BanterMap is a digital, instantly-consumed product. Because the “deed” goes live the moment we receive your payment and can be overthrown any second after that, purchases are generally final. This policy explains the specific cases where we do issue refunds.
1. We refund automatically when…
- The payment was captured but the conquest never appeared within 15 minutes and our logs confirm a webhook failure. Contact us with your Lemon Squeezy order ID.
- Double-charge for the same conquest attempt (rare but possible under network glitches). The duplicate is refunded within 3 business days.
- Chargeback of a previous holder's payment that incorrectly credits your account.
2. We consider refunds when…
- Your content was removed by moderation for reasons you disagree with. Contact us within 7 days with the takeover ID; we'll review the moderation trace and, if the removal was in error, either restore the content or refund.
- Someone impersonated you and we removed their content. In that case the impersonator's payment is not refunded — this protects genuine reports from becoming a refund exploit.
3. We do NOT refund when…
- You changed your mind after the conquest went live.
- Someone overthrew you shortly after.
- You paid a very high amount and expected exclusivity — the model is designed to be overthrown.
- Your content was removed after violating our Terms of Service.
- Your bank charged you a foreign-exchange or convenience fee — that is between you and your bank.
4. Join thread refunds
Joins in a co-conquest thread follow the same rules. If the parent takeover is overthrown or removed within 5 minutes of your join, we may prorate your refund at our discretion.
5. How to request
Email bantermap@gmail.com from the address you used at checkout. Include:
- Lemon Squeezy order ID (from your receipt email)
- Country name and approximate date of the conquest
- The reason for the request
We aim to reply within 3 business days. Approved refunds hit your card within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
6. Chargebacks
Please email us before disputing a charge with your bank. Chargebacks cost us fees and can trigger merchant restrictions — we'll almost always resolve legitimate issues faster and cheaper via email.
7. Statutory rights
This policy does not affect any consumer rights you have under local law (e.g. EU Directive 2011/83 on Consumer Rights, KVKK in Türkiye, CCPA in California). Where local law grants a broader right, that law prevails.
